I’ve had an absolutely amazing time travelling but I am now well and truly home sick and very very very excited to be coming home on Saturday.
I am also excited for the tiger roll that will be waiting for me at Heathrow.
Oh also it’s my birthday tomorrow but I don’t know a single person in San Francisco so in spending it by myself. So naturally I’m going to the zoo.
I miss scenes like this. There were little lemon sharks and stingray just swimming around my feet. I’m pretty sure I’ve got that illness where you get sad when it’s not sunny. Come on New Zealand, sort it out!
Singapore’s strange in the sense that very few people here actually speak English to each other and yet every sign, menu and train announcement is in English.
I was going to go to the zoo where you can ride elephants and make friends with sloths today but I want to save this super fun thing for tomorrow, I think instead today I’ll explore some of the absolutely insane shopping centres.
New packing procrastination technique- taking pictures of myself. There are so many things I could/should be doing! Where do you even start packing for 6 months?!
Last week my sister and I went to Freemasons Grand Lodge in London. It’s INSANE everyone should go but I don’t think anyone knows that you can actually go in?! There’s a mini museum thing which is a bit dull but the guided tour is amazing. The building is absolutely beautiful. Definitely worth a trip. You need to take photo ID with you (!) but you don’t need to book and it’s free.
Ooooh hilarious (-ly embarassing) fam <3 Can’t live with them/without them etc.
Had an excellent NYE except for the actual midnight bit where I got drenched in champagne. Also lost the feeling in the right little finger the following day, just to realise that was probably because I had been sitting in the same spot for 9 hours. Back in the homeshire now to continue ‘the farewell tour’ before I fly off for 5 months. Ahh!
Love this.
At work today was the last day of ‘Friends and Family’ discounts and I still had about 10 30% off vouchers to give out. I just wanted to find nice, polite people to give them to. I gave out 4. People at work are generally hideous human beings in every way (or they already had a voucher - even so when you get over 3000 people through the door in 1 day it shouldn’t be that hard to hand out discounts!)
